Sweet Venom by Tera Lynn Childs

First of all I just wanted to state that I’m grateful for the chance to get a copy of this book from a goodreads giveaway. Thank You Goodreads and Haper Teen who listed the giveaway.

Sweet VenomSweet Venom by Tera Lynn Childs
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The book itself was pretty good. I had read a review that said that my expectations were probably be wrong, that kind of scared me a little bit. But this book was a typical separated at birth story with a little extra of ancient myth.

My favorite character was Grace she’s sweet and shy and a computer geek. She always tries to do her best to stand up for herself but draws a blank when the time is right. She was adopted by a sweet family and lived in a small town. She never really suspected about she had sister and came as a waking realization when her duplicate suddenly shows up in front of her. I also like Milo and would like to know if they ever go out.

**Spoilers**

At first I thought the three girls met around the same time, boom boom boom. But no, first Gretchen meets Grace and they warm up to each other. Then while Grace is doing her research on their ancestors she finds out that they are actually triplets. Then they drop the bomb on poor unsuspecting Greer.

***Spoiler end***

I liked Gretchen better than Greer and I hope we get to learn more about her in the next. Gretchen is more hand-to-hand combat, she’s always willing to jump into a monster hunt except when she realizes the rules don’t apply anymore. With this new’s and the disappearance of her mentor, Ursula, she feel lonely when trying to help Grace.

Her love interest Nick, is really mysterious and makes her feel the need to be around him but feels she can’t let her self fall in Love.

Greer is a bit more complicated to judge we barely know a lot about her and what we know makes her seem more like Miranda in her snarky moments. I like the occurrences in the end of the book even though it was a cliff hanger. I hope Greer gets a better love interest in the next book because I’m not really loving Kyle, her wanna be surfer boyfriend.

I have high hopes for the next book so Ms./Mrs. Tera Lynn Childs don’t let me down.

*QUESTIONS I WOULD LIKE ANSWERED IN THE NEXT BOOK*

1. Do Grace and Milo go on their date?

2. Is Thane alright? And does his actions have anything to do with the girls?

3. What do the girls do after thy find their great-many times-aunt?

4. What is Nick?

5. What happens with Gretchen?

P.s. I’m trying to be as vague as possible to avoid spoilers. And I really liked the whole idea of the story.

the Summoning (Darkest Powers #1) by Kelley Armstrong

First I want to start of saying I’m re-reading this book, Second I even loved it the second time around, & Third here’s my review.

Interpretation:

The concept of the book, supernatural test subjects being told they were crazy, was portrayed excellently. The whole 12 yrs. earlier thing I give a thumbs up. Then Chloe Saunders being all moody, crappy, and complaining about not going to Puberty. When she finally realizes that she is getting involved in the whole Puberty thing she becomes spontaneous but in the end she finds her true nature seeing GHOST.   When Chloe realizes she is now going to be sent to a group she feels it unnecessary that she isn’t crazy or is she?  All going towards this great book of betrayals and over coming’s.

Feelings:

With all That’s going the only thing I don’t get so far what’s with all the secrets and fall-outs. Why think to let the kids grow up without knowing I would like to know to at l wast know I’m different and how. Total cliff-hangers man (smh) sometimes its the best things to d but sometimes it’s just annoying but in this book I thought it was great !!! Three thumb up for this book.
